The Benefits of a Company Management System

A management system for companies provides organization, direction and accountability for the people who perform the work for your company. It’s the framework of your company for the strategic goals you establish and the tools that your team utilizes to achieve the goals you set to meet a particular level of quality, to meet the legal requirements regarding occupational safety or to boost profits through streamlined processes.

Management systems are based on the belief that when all processes are documented and responsibilities are defined, and success indicators are clearly defined, the tasks are able to – theoretically – take care of themselves. However, this isn’t always the case in practice but it’s the aim that companies strive for when introducing a company management system.

This is the case for all management systems whether they are designed for quality, sustainability or energy. All of them are essentially the same in terms of their core tasks: Plan actions, implement, review metrics and systematically improve. This is the reason why there are so many similar tools available in the market.

Since management systems are a part of all areas of the business and typically have an inter-functional focus it is not logical to run different systems simultaneously. It is not a good option to create a concept management system on top of the quality management system you already have. This only adds unnecessary burdens to your employees and is not practical from an ISO perspective. It is becoming increasingly crucial to make use of software that integrates different systems, both existing and new, into one system of management.
